Chinese rescuers scramble to free people trapped by Chongqing gas blast


More than 20 people are believed to be trapped in the rubble of a canteen after a gas blast in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing on Friday, state media reported.

An explosion from a gas leak erupted at around 12.10pm in a staff canteen in the Fengshan community in Wulong district in Chongqing, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
